The next screen you should see is for Email Server Names. You have a choice here, in the drop down box at the top you can choose for your email server to be either POP3 of IMAP. The differences are explained below. Choose one and then for both the incoming and outgoing mail server boxes put in mail.ectisp.net Click Next.
In a POP3 mail server your email messages are downloaded from our
server to your home computer, this is the most common type of email
server and what we have used in the past. In an IMAP server a copy of
the messages remains on the server. What this means is essentially a
permanent copy of all your email messages remains on our server until
you delete the messages. The advantage of this is if you use more than
one computer you can have all of your email messages on both computers
at the same time. If you use both Webmail and Outlook Express or use
multiple computers we recommend IMAP.
7
In the Account Name Box type in your full email address i.e. johndoe@ectisp.net, and in the Password box type in your password which should be the same password you use to connect if you use dial up. Click Next.
8
Click Finish, then Click Close to close the Internet Accounts box. Now
you should be able to check your email by clicking the Send/Receive button
at the top and going to you Inbox on the left.
